Farhaan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone came calling yesterday for the promotion of their upcoming flick, Karthik Calling Karthik.
The unusual pair, with the glam and leggy Deepika, and Farhaan, who’s considered the thinking woman’s sex symbol, looked great together nonetheless, dressed in comfy casuals as they were. Deepika, who chopped her famous long tresses for this film, joked, “The deal was that if I cut my hair, Vijay (Vijay Lalwani, the director) would go half bald! But that obviously didn’t happen. I was a little apprehensive, as long hair adds to the sensuality of a woman, and I’ve always had long hair.” But Farhaan’s wife, Adhuna, who also did the now iconic styling of the actors in Dil Chahta Hai, made Deepika take the plunge. “We did a lot of look tests and Adhuna convinced me that it would look good, so I went ahead with it,” said Deepika.
