HYDERABAD: Justice B Subhashan Reddy of the State Human Rights Commission on Saturday directed the regional film censor board to enquire into the contents of a soon-to-be released Telugu movie - High School - and submit a report to him by Feb 24.
The commission was responding to a petition filed by a school correspondent P V Subbaiah from Kurnool who brought to the notice of the commission that this movie's theme revolved around an alleged love story between a 13-year-old high school boy and a 30-year-old woman.
He wanted the shooting of this movie to be stalled immediately because it would adversely influence the tender minds of school children.
Justice Subhashan Reddy, who had earlier summoned a 22-year-old woman teacher from Warangal district who married a 15-year-old male student of her school recently, observed that movies like 'High School' are partly responsible for such marriages.
